The 2 Greatest

Sometime we don't realize that when we say YES to one thing we are equally saying NO to many other things.  We can't pray "Thy Kingdom Come" and still live comfortably in our own kingdoms.

Have you every watched people interact when you couldn't understand their language?  Even without the linguistic knowledge, you can always tell if love is spoken here!

You can tell a lot about a person by what they say and what they DON'T say.  The same is true with prayer.  We know some of what Jesus prayed, but what didn't he pray?  And what's the ONE prayer request he had for us?

What do you think?  Can you judge the future by the past?  Is it an absolute rule?  What are the exceptions?  What are the dangers of applying that saying to people?

Would you say Jesus is your friend?  If so, what do you mean by that?  Is he your friend in the same way your buddy up the street is your friend?  Let's be careful!

If there is one little white lie that we permit ourselves to say over and over it's "I didn't have time."  That's a lie.  So let's be honest.

Oh boy!  Memories are powerful things.  Our physical bodies to reaction to them like an allergy attack.  What do we do when we're allergic to our memories?

What is someone has a bigger "portion" than you?  How do you feel?  What do you do?  Maybe you're looking at the wrong portion!

There are some very practical steps we can take when we feel the brokenness of the world or even of our own lives.  They come down to four verbs.

There are soooooo many good and beautiful things available to us each and every day that we flat out ignore.  May God makes us sensitive and receptive to his many good gifts.
