The 2 Greatest

All of us have writers who become mentors for us.  Their work helps us know God deeper and love others fuller.  Dr. Larry Crab was one of those precious people for me.

When you're having trouble seeing and you get your first pair of glasses, it changes your world.  When you and I finally and forever begin to see the world through the lens of Jesus, the change is even more dramatic and life altering!  

Our decisions today can't change the past; but our decisions today can give us a better tomorrow.  There are some actions you could take right now.  If you started them today, your future self would be happier, healthier and more like Jesus!

Loss is inevitable, but hope can be your constant companion through that loss.  We have losses and gains, in small ways everyday.  May they point us with hope to the great gain to come in Christ.  Here's tooth fairy story to help!

Wisdom is wisdom wherever you find it.  If you look deeper, you'll see that God is behind it.  I'm thankful for true lessons that come from a book; when children of all ages will just take a look.

Who doesn't want to be a wiser person?  But the real question is, how is wisdom obtained?  Where does it come from and how can we get more of it?  The Wisdom Pyramid might help us here.

What do you see when you look at a sunset, an ocean, a majestic mountain range covered in snow?  I see the handiwork of the God of Wonders!

Who are your heroes?  What qualities do you admire most in them?  Given a choice, do we more often pick someone like Jesus or someone like Barabbas?  

Tempers are running high in our world.  People are passionate and provocative.  How should God's people respond?  When we enter the fast moving waters of controversial conversation we need to be slow to speak in an age of rage.

Being a parent is not for the faint hearted!  But imagine for a moment being God, our Heavenly Parent with all of us rebellious kids.  How does that play into God's unconditional love for us?
