The 2 Greatest

We all wonder what heaven will be like? We wish the scriptures were a bit more descriptive.  Yet from what we know, it will be glorious in every way.  Our understanding of heaven might be helped if we developed a greater childlike curiosity!

You can tell a lot about what a person values by the first thing that comes out of his or her mouth when things are broken.  That goes for God too!  What was HIS first questions after failure?

Suffering is a painful part of life, but knowing you're not alone in it can make all the difference.  What about the comfort of a God who suffers FOR us AND WITH us?

I bet it's easier for you to help someone than it is to ask someone to help you.  Yet we all NEED ONE ANOTHER.  Even Jesus, as a human, needed help.  We're not exempt!  

It's easy to judge the externals, the behaviors we see without considering the internals that produced them.  What are you putting in your soul that manifests itself in the visible part of your life?  Are you putting water in your gas tank?

What ELSE do you need?  Are you a contented person?  Is there anything you think you lack, that if you just had THAT, you'd be "good?"  Listen in!

Are you stingy with your "I love yous?"  Is there someone in your life that's hurting and needs to hear you affirm your love and value for him or her?  If so, may you find courage and encouragement from Brian's Song!

Do you have any fond memories of crawling up on a parent or grandparent's lap and just hanging out?  Can you do the same with our loving Heavenly Father?

How's your view of God?  Is he an angry old man waiting for you to mess up so he can punish you?  Or Is God a loving father who knows we mess up and so he invites us into new life in Jesus?  Embracing the POSITIVE invitation changes everything!
