The 2 Greatest

It's easy to get confused when we hear someone talking to someone else and we're not sure who he or she is speak to.  The sad part is that sometimes we feel the same way when a person prays.

Have you ever tried to give love to someone and had it rebuffed, refused, and rejected?  God is always and continually loving all of us and some of us won't let him!

What comes to your mind when you hear the world "deliverance?"  Is it more than scary exorcism movies?  Jesus taught us to pray for deliverance.  Maybe we should!

True, deep, lasting friendships are a gift from God.  Let's not take them for granted.  Let's have and be a friend.  Friends can make a tangible difference in making our walk in the world possible.  

What or who is the true source of your happiness?  What can take it away and where does it start?  It's easy to seek external fixes to sadness and problems, but that's not where it's found.

Would you be hesitant to have someone ask the people who know you best if you are a follower of Jesus?  Are there folks you wouldn't want to be asked?  How do you feel about that?

This is the flip side of yesterday's episode.  There are problem with money, but there are also pleasures when used and viewed rightly.

Money is not wrong, but it can be used in a wrong way.  Money is not evil, but the love of it leads to all kinds of evil.  Money is a fantastic tool in our hands for good in the world, but it also comes with some baggage and it's best to just admit that upfront!

In a world of strong and increasingly divisive opinions about seemingly everything, the church finds those same disagreements in her midst.  What's important for us to recognize is, that's not breaking news.
