We are all control freaks.  Controlling things, events, even people makes us feel safer.  Yet no matter how hard you try, you can't control your encounter with the Lord.  And that's good news because what he wants for you is so much better than what you can imagine for yourself.

If we could all learn the secret of satisfaction the peace God would give would be delightful.  Unfortunately our soul rarely stays in that place for very long.

One day there will be a big table where all those blessed saints who have touched your life can gather with you to share stories, joys and the new adventure in the fully realized kingdom.  Come to the Table!

The word "love" rolls easily off our tongue, but the proof of love is not the tongue, but our actions.  

I love countdowns, but all my countdowns are about life not death.  Yet we can't deny the death countdown is always ticking in the background and that should motivate us to REALLY LIVE!

It's one thing to "express" your individuality by the way you style your hair or the kind of clothes you wear; but there's a much more dangerous expressive individualism that's being pushed and promoted today.  It must be challenged.

There are few gifts more easily given and more desperately needed than the gift of gratitude.  When you cultivate this as a natural part of your soul, you are blessing everyone--God, others and yourself!

We've all attempted to love someone and gotten burned in the process.  But we've all also attempted to love someone and being extremely blessed.  Friends, the risk of love is worth it!

People label us all the time.  They might give us put downs or prop ups.  They might be true or false.  But what about the labels we give ourselves?  Whatever they are, I bet we're living into them.

We label what we believe has value by the way we live our lives in relationships to those people or things.  God tells us what is of worth, why do we keep seeking what is worth LESS?
