The 2 Greatest

I love a great story and the story of Jesus is the greatest of all. AND it's TRUE.  I'm so thankful we don't just have ONE account but FOUR.  Dig in!

It's not loving to label people into a group we hate so we can hate them too.  It's more like Jesus to seek to know a person in a deeper way, that goes become a label you might give them or a label they give themselves.  

Most of the time our prayers are safe, not bold.  They are asking for what we want God to give us, instead of asking God to give us what HE wants, even if it's uncomfortable.

We don't want to be vulnerable, to put ourselves in a position where we could be hurt.  But we do need people we can trust with our whole selves.  Who do you trust?

What do you see all around you when you look at the world today?  Is it all bad, negative and depressing?  There's more going on than we sometimes have eyes to see.  Let's look closer.

When we think we know best, it's hard to not PUSH to hard.  But there's good news.  The Holy Spirit is the one who draws people to the Lord.  That's not our job.

When life is a bowl of cherries, it's easy to trust God.  But what about when life is hard it God seems to be working against us?

We can get all worked up trying to convince someone of our love and faithfulness.  Maybe the person has been burned and abandoned before.  Well, God says "I'm not going anywhere.  NO WAY, NOT GONNA HAPPEN!"

"Rituals" can be empty and devoid of heart OR they can be rich and full of meaning.  How do you feel about THE SIGN OF THE CROSS?

God doesn't dwell in buildings, but in people.  People do and should come together in buildings to worship, learn, serve and encourage.  And yet we can also find GOD ON THE EDGES.
