The 2 Greatest

Sometimes it comes down to this:  You can be RIGHT and insist on it in every way and lose a relationship OR you can absorb the blow and pick the relationship instead.  What will you do the next time you have that choice?

It's easy to assume that Christians have always been the same in all ages, but we know that's not been the case.  Today, five differences between us and those believers back then!

What is the hardest prayer you've ever prayed?  Maybe about forgiveness or someone's death or such.  I think we should challenge ourselves to pray HARD prayers.  I dare you to pray THIS one!

We tend to prefer quick fixes and easy solutions to the slow work of God.  We want the RIGHT NOW REVOLUTION that will make our lives better not the KINGDOM COMING way of Christ.  Lord help us stop asking for Barabbas!

"I'M DONE!"  We've felt it, then said it, then did it!  But HOW did we do it?  When it comes to love, there's always another move.

We are all influenced by our culture and country.  As followers our Jesus is Christ first, not country.  Let's be careful we are not embracing country virtues not in the Bible. 

We all do it!  We tell ourselves a story to convince ourselves that our actions or attitudes are okay--and not just okay but GODLY.  But we better be careful what we baptize!

Being manipulated can look and feel like your being loving for a Christian.  That's a dangerous trap to avoid.  Jesus loved, but didn't allow himself to be manipulated, neither should you!

I'm not talking about God forgiving us or even God forgiving others...I'm talking and YOU and ME forgiving others...those who have monstrously harmed us.  Is forgiveness ALWAYS possible?

Habit are important.  They form us.  Did you know that Jesus had habit, holy ones!  And those habits helped sustain him during the hardest moments of his life.  We can have them too!
