The 2 Greatest

Are all things good?  Can you find "good" in horrible things?  What does Rom 8:28 really mean?

If you've been around the Bible a while you know the stories, you've heard the sermons, you've read the books.  But are they still fresh, alive, "living and active" as Hebrews writes?  Does Scripture still surprise you?

Just look at Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snap-Chat, over anywhere on the news, the internet, billboards---there are always NEW fads--the latest and greatest.  But we are called to the time tested and true...ancient paths of the Lord.

Jesus followers have been called a LOT of things.  Some deserved and some not.  Yet there are ways we are to live that distinguish us in a good way because we are living like our good God.  Today, an ancient letter that might help point the way.

We all need people who are farther down the path of life and have made it through some hard times still holding onto the hand of Jesus.  We need them to help show us the way.  We all need spiritual parents.

What do you do with your STRONG emotions.  Do you see them, own them, give them to God?  Or do you try a spiritual version of WHACK-A-MOLE?

When we don't feel close to God, when the once sweet intimacy is missing, what happened?  Is this a dark night of the soul OR did I move, because God didn't!

We want to encourage our kids for their achievements.  But we need to be careful or we might be conveying a message that's not good that we don't intend to give.

When we pray do we expect God to answer, or do we assume he won't?  Have you ever been surprised that God DID what you were asking?  May this true story will help.
