You can't control what happens to you.  But you can control how you respond to what's happening to you.  Positive people are magnets for love.  Eeyore people are not.  Which will you be?

Life is more than "getting things done."  Yesterday I talked about to-do and to-don't lists.  Today I want to make sure you know what really matters.

Most of us live our days with some sort of to-do list.  Things we want to accomplish that day.  But there's also value in a to-don't list.  Things we want to avoid!

What does it mean to say "Jesus was a Nazarene?"  What do we know about this place where Jesus spent almost 30 years of his earthly life?

We tend to see the Bible through the eyes of our world, our history, our culture and our experience.  That can and does lead to some dangerous theological conclusions.  The three world's approach is so much better.

Some Bible books are sweet and easy to hear.  Others are a bit in your face.  We need BOTH, even this blessed BOSSY book!

It's fun to score all the points.  It feels good to be the hero--but that's not the measure of a godly person.  Don't be a ball hog!

"God said it.  I believe it.  That settles it."  Yes--but is there more to it than that?

Lots of motivational material has been written around the concept that your FAILURE is never final....but what about your successes?  Are they never final too?

I bet you've said "oh rats!"  Or maybe some other version of that sentiment.  Sometimes the best laid plans of mice or men get sidetracked.  Then what?
