The 2 Greatest

Do you like to read?  When you read, why do you do it?  Do you read for pleasure, to seek knowledge, or for escape?   What about reading the Bible?  Why do you read God's Word?  What if you read to LISTEN?

Where can we go in the Bible to find people who FEEL what we feel and who are honest to God enough to say it, even if it doesn't sound very holy?  The answer---THE PSALMS.  They are the Psalms of Life and they are worthy of our attention as we express our prayers to God for our own joys and sorrows.

Do you talk to yourself?  If so, I hope you're telling yourself TRUE, BEAUTIFUL and GOOD things that come from God.  One way to talk that way is to overhear yourself praying the ancient prayers of the faith to the Lord, like this one today.

We want to see the WHOLE plan, ALL that's coming before we agree to the going.  But God doesn't do it like that.  You'll have much greater peace if you look for ARROWS instead of ANSWERS.

Some of us LOVE the morning and some of us, well, have to be drug into it.  The Bible talks about the blessings of the morning.  Consider them with me today.

Elvis Presley crooned:  "Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind.  Memories, sweetened through the ages just like wine.  Memories are so important to our well being and understanding of ourselves.  They are arriving today--may you be blessed by them!
