The 2 Greatest

No one want to be labeled a hypocrite.  And we need to be careful when we tag others with that word.  Are they really a hypocrite or just a struggling human?  There is an important difference.

When the road looks TOO long, the journey TOO hard sometimes the only thing we can do is take a step.  And the good news is God begins to change your heart on the first step, not the last one!

When someone else has something really good happen to them and you wish it had happened to you, can you, do you rejoice?  Genuinely, honestly rejoice?  Here's to more freudenfreude!

It's so easy to take pleasure in the pain someone you really don't like.  That's human nature; it's not T2G.  

Severe depression, mental illness and suicide are rampant in our society.  How do we love those who may be dealing with such desperate thoughts?

Jesus told us to love our enemies for a reason.  He plainly and painfully pointed out that even non-believers love those who are like them.  We are called to go higher. We are called to accept (not agree with) others who are different than we are.  Lord help us!

Fights, arguments, violence, bitterness, hurt, pain and more are all caused when you so badly want to be loved and accepted and you don't believe you are.  What if acceptance was a given?  How could that change how you love?

There's a LOT of knowledge out there.  People KNOW things, can GOOGLE things, and have no problem gaining INFORMATION.  But WISDOM is different; it's the jewel that needs to be sought and found.

Can you change?  Better question, can Jesus change you?  Are you content just to say "That's just the way I am, at least I'm not going to hell!?"

It really is okay to not have an opinion about every controversial issue dividing families, churches and nations today.  Stand on the essentials, but not every issue is worthy of that title.
