The 2 Greatest

Who is the hardest person for you to love?  What makes that so?  How would you respond if the person who wants to hurt you needs help only you can give?

This episode is a conversation with my son, Pastor Mark Knight, about his new book:  Non Anxious Churches, Finding the Way of Jesus for Pastors and Churches.

Anger is everywhere.  We WILL get angry.  The question is what will we do with it?  Here's some help.

We are pretty quick to read the little bit we know about a person from the pages of scripture and then begin labeling him or her.  We do it with Peter, Thomas, and others...including Martha.  But just what WAS Martha's problem?

How's your vision?  I don't mean your physical eyes, but your spiritual ones.  Sometimes we aren't seeing what we think we're seeing because we aren't looking at the world through the lens of the Gospel.

The term "good works" is often received in a negative light in Christian circles.  It smacks of "earning" your salvation.  But understood properly "good works" is GOOD indeed!  We just have to get straight WHO needs them!

Often times people are so wounded and hurt we can't see the gifts of God in their lives.  But they are there!  May we be patient and loving and present long enough for the gifts to emerge from their pain.

Who are the women in church history who have make the biggest difference for the gospel?  Who are the women in YOUR life who's faith helped shape your own?  To whom do you need to say, "THANKS SISTERS?!"

God made YOU and there's no one with the same opportunities, gifting and call.  You can't save the world (Jesus did that), but you can live out YOUR unique call!
